SEA WORLD OF TEXAS
Adventure Park

Sea World of Texas in San Antonio opened in 1988 with more than 25 spectacular shows, unique animal habitats and exciting attractions for the whole family.

Sea World's arrival in San Antonio signaled the start of a new era in the Alamo City's economic and tourism development. Over a two-and-a-half year construction period, as many as 3,000 area contractors and subcontractors were employed in the building of the $170 million park. In the first 12 months of operation alone, the park welcomed 3.3 million visitors, quickly establishing itself as one of Texas' top ten tourist attractions.

In 1989, the four Sea World parks were sold to Busch Entertainment Corporation, one of the Anheuser-Busch Companies. As a member of the Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks family, Sea World has continued to grow to include such additions as water rides, a children's play area, a water adventure park, restaurants and other conveniences and amenities for guest comfort.

Sea World is recognized worldwide as a leader in marine research, conservation and education. Sea World is open weekends in the spring and fall and daily in the summer.
