Foreign Trade Zone No. 80
The San Antonio Foreign Trade Zone offers over 3,800 acres and more than 5.5 million square feet of warehouse space at 10 current general purpose sites suitable for light assembly, warehousing and distribution. Additionally, two subzones have been established to support local manufacturing operations. Significant advantages accrue to businesses locating in an FTZ including: duties assessed on foreign goods are payable only on those goods entering the United States at the time of entry to the market; inventory management of foreign goods subject to entry quotas; ad valorem tax liability management of foreign goods; and rectification of inadmissible merchandise.

Taxation
Texas has no personal income tax. Sales tax: State - 6.25%, City - 1%; Metropolitan Transit Authority - .5%. Total = 7.75%.

Corporate Franchise Tax - $2.50 per $1,000 of taxable capital or 4.5% on earned surplus.

Ad Valorem Tax - Estimated total effective tax rate; inside the city - $2.84 to $3.07 per $100 valuation; outside the city - $2.26 to $2.35 per $100 valuation.
