On February 24, 1993, the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort Hotel celebrated its Grand Opening. Zagat, U.S. Hotels, Resorts and Spa Survey, a national firm who surveys hotels and resorts for the travel, meeting and convention industry, ranked the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort San Antonio's top hotel, and one of the best hotels in the State and Nation! Since the Grand Opening, the hotel has outpaced Hyatt's most aggressive projections in occupancy and room rate achievement. According to a San Antonio Express-News Golf Survey, the "Hyatt's Hill Country Golf Club" has been rated as the number one public course in the city. Additionally, the Hyatt course earned third place in the city's overall rating, only behind Oak Hills and The Dominion Country Clubs, two older and established golf courses. The Hyatt's "Hill Country Golf Club" is open to the public, seven days a week. Westover Hills has not only become the center of growth in Northwest San Antonio, but, with the opening of the new $100 million Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort Hotel and Championship Golf Course, Westover Hills has set the standard and developed a new identity and pride for the most thriving quadrant of our City.
